KENPAT, a leading Florida-based specialty contractor of interior and exterior wall systems, ceilings and architectural specialties, announced today that it has received two 2025 Excellence in Construction Awards from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Florida Gulf Coast Chapter. The company was recognized for its contributions to the CAE USA Headquarters and the Tampa Convention Center Expansion — two of the region’s most high-profile and technically demanding construction projects.
The ABC Gulf Coast Excellence in Construction Awards represent the industry’s premier competition, recognizing innovative and exemplary merit shop construction projects, along with world-class safety and diversity programs. KENPAT’s dual honors underscore its leadership in delivering complex, high-performance work while upholding the highest standards of craftsmanship, coordination, and professionalism.

The Gaylord Palms Osceola Ballroom, located in Orlando, Florida, serves as a premier venue for events and conferences. KENPAT’s innovative approach and meticulous execution played a pivotal role in transforming the ballroom into a sophisticated and functional space.
This is the fifth time CISCA recognized the company for its work. The Gaylord Palms Osceola Ballroom joins KENPAT’s other high-profile projects, including the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center (Phases I & II), Orlando VA Hospital, and Nemours Children’s Hospital—further cementing its reputation for excellence in the interior systems industry.
The CISCA Construction Excellence Awards recognize exemplary projects that demonstrate innovation, quality, and excellence in the interior systems industry. KENPAT’s contribution to the Gaylord Palms Osceola Ballroom involved the installation of state-of-the-art ceiling systems that enhance both the aesthetic appeal and acoustic performance of the space.

KENPAT announced it ranked 54th on Associated Builders and Contractors’ 2025 Top Performers list, an annual publication recognizing the association’s contractor members for outstanding achievements in safety, quality, merit, project excellence, and special designations ranked by the number of hours worked.

KENPAT and its affiliated companies, award-winning subcontractors of interior and exterior wall systems, ceiling systems, exterior cladding and glass services, announced today several operational leadership promotions for its portfolio of businesses related to its next-generation succession plan.
Christina Weaver has been promoted to vice president of KENPAT Central Florida, an installer of commercial drywall, interior and exterior wall systems, ceilings, and architectural specialties. Christina was previously director of operations for the company and, before that, a project manager for KENPAT dating back to 2013. Prior to joining the company, Weaver spent eight years as a construction project engineer, project manager and estimator. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.
Yuri Melnichenko has been promoted to vice president of N-RG Cladding, an award-winning commercial subcontractor focused on the design, fabrication, and installation of engineered architectural cladding for commercial building façades. He has been with N-RG Cladding since 2013 in a series of progressively responsible roles. Prior to joining N-RG, Melnichenko worked at several construction firms in the Orlando area, as well as architecture firms in Beijing, China, and Knoxville, Tenn. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from The University of Tennessee.
Andy Amitrano has been promoted to vice president of Architectural Glass Services (AGS), a commercial glazing contractor. He has been with the company since 2022. Prior to joining AGS, Amitrano was a senior project manager for a local aluminum and glass company in Orlando, a role he held from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, he was a tenured operations executive and glazier for Horizon Glass & Glazing and the General Manager for Alliance Glazing Technologies in Denver from 1999-2019. He attended Metropolitan State University of Denver.

KENPAT, a leading Florida subcontractor specializing in interior and exterior wall systems, announced today that it has been named an Accredited Quality Contractor by Associated Builders and Contractors. Only 525 of the nation’s elite merit shop construction contractors earned the credential in 2023. KENPAT, with locations in Central Florida, Florida’s Gulf Coast and in North Dakota, represent three of those 525. This the fifth consecutive year for the Central Florida location, the second consecutive year for the Gulf Coast location earned the recognition and the first commendation for the North Dakota location.

Wolmarans steps into this role following the leadership of his father, Paul Wolmarans, who will continue to serve as group CEO. Paul is a co-founder of the company and has dedicated more than four decades to its growth and success. Etienne brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having spent more than nine years in progressively responsible positions at the company, most recently serving as division manager of KENPAT’s Gulf Coast location in Tampa.
