AdventHealth Medical Office
Situation
AdventHealth, a premier healthcare provider, sought to expand its presence in the Kissimmee, Florida, area with a new healthcare medical office to serve the community.
Task
KENPAT was brought on for the interior finishes scope that included interior framing, ceilings, drywall, and GFRC column covers.
Action
The new medical office building is a 36,000 SF, two-story tilt-wall building that includes healthcare providers’ offices, therapy rooms, office spaces, exam rooms, nurses’ stations, and other medical support spaces. At the entrance and lobby of the building is an atrium and spiral staircase.
The interior framing required KENPAT to create a rounded skylight situated above the circular atrium stairs that is the key focus of the first floor, requiring expert attention to detail. Throughout the structure there are 12 columns with GFRC column covers installed which required additional flat surfaces in each column to facilitate the installation of electrical outlets.
Despite the special requirements of the building, KENPAT provided an outstanding interior finish to the new facility.
Result
KENPAT’s precision workmanship ensured an excellent result. Completion of this AdventHealth medical building provides a modern, personalized, health care experience for the neighborhood it serves. The project was honored with the 2021 ABC Central Florida Excellence in Construction Eagle Award, a testament to the team’s outstanding workmanship.
