Nemours Childrens Hospital

Overview

The 620,000 square-foot Nemours Children’s Hospital joined Lake Nona Medical City in the Fall of 2012. This 95-bed facility situated on 60-acre campus, houses an emergency department, diagnostic and ambulatory care centers, a research center, and a central energy plant. Designed by Stanley Beaman & Sears, of Atlanta and led by Skanska USA, the state of the art facility achieved LEED Gold certification. Nemours Children’s Hospital is part of a unique, state-of-the-art health campus that also includes Nemours Children’s Clinic, an ambulatory diagnostic center and extensive research and education facilities. But it also takes a holistic approach. Healing gardens, nature trails, pet therapy areas and water features help create a peaceful environment that fosters both mental and physical healing.

Skanska USA was the general contractor of the project. KENPAT was the subcontractor responsible for the Terracotta exterior façades and interior framing and finishing. This included the installation of:
• Over 36,000 square feet of the terracotta tiles
• Interior framing and finishing
KENPAT self-performed 100% of this scope.
