Job Description

Requires Bachelor’s degree/foreign equivalent in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics, or a closely related field. Requires 3 years of work with analysis and optimization of data, including one year within the construction industry, to include:
• 3 years of experience working with mathematical and statistical functions for the analysis of data.
• 3 years of experience collecting, reviewing, and analyzing data to implement key performance indicators (KPIs).
• 3 years of experience collecting data from existing business records and systems, including one year within the construction industry.
• 3 years of experience developing dashboards for data visualization
Experience may be gained concurrently.

Job Duties:
The Business Intelligence Analyst will apply advanced mathematical and analytical methods to analyze and study labor productivity and other key performance indicators (KPIs) within the Company’s construction projects. Using predictive analytics, will find trends relevant to the Company’s productivity, finances, and provide estimates for work completion. Will work independently to create and prepare analytical dashboards for use by Company decision-makers to inform and provide findings to assess construction forecasts of production ratios, costs related to labor, aerial equipment, and construction materials. Will apply strong organizational skills, exceptional analytical skills, and ability to prioritize in providing detailed analysis for the purposes of productivity improvement and/or contractual and legal support. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Conduct field studies and data collection through Digital Production Control software and Artificial Intelligence tools (like OpenSpace or StructionSite) to track the progress of a job.
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
• Utilizes an advanced understanding of multiple data structures and sources to lead the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions, which may include:

o Measure efficiency and cost saving for multiple portions of the Company business;
o construction projects as-built progress;
o recommend action to minimize the expense of equipment rentals and maximize usage;
o acceleration or work compression for construction schedules, providing proper workflow and optimizing headcount utilization;
o as-built/as-used data versus as-planned data by tasks performed to identify variances and root causes for variances;
o surplus of materials, time, and/or other cost areas.

• Improve administrative and operations process through data analysis and the development of automated tools (Excel Macros).
• Extract, transform and combine data from multiple sources (AboutTime, PlanGrid, Digital Production Control, OnScreen Takeoff, OpenSpace, StructionSite, Spitfire and Microsoft Dynamics) to develop custom dashboards and reports utilizing advanced technologies and data visualization tools including, but not limited to, Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Power Point, to support the decision-making process of senior leadership and build custom and automated reports with live data.
• Improve administrative and operations process through data analysis and the development of automated tools (Excel Macros).
• Apply programming and analysis skills, mathematical and analytical modeling and methods to collect data and turn it into charts, trends, and forecasts.
• Meet with project managers and senior Company executives, present findings and recommendations, work in the development, production and continuous improvement of standard and ad-hoc reports related to the organization’s workforce.
Performs special projects, and ad-hoc reporting as required by management. Will be required to multi-task, adapt quickly, problem solve, learn independently, and complete projects with short timelines prioritizing and managing multiple projects in a timely and thorough manner. Will lead a team of one. Travel up to 15 percent of time within the United States.
